When I used to run long distances, I would get inspiration as thoughts and ideas rattled in my mind as I trotted along. These meanderings unexpectedly gave me a sense of direction for my creative cravings. I no longer run, but walking seems to have the same effect. I continue to take these mental notes—and write them down soon after—and act on ‘em. Among other things, I felt a desire to better myself in photography. To this day, I continue to chase the light to find wonder and beauty in the photograph.

Getting paid for what I do is not really the point of photography. A single meaningful moment captured and shared is what makes me feel good—maybe the defining nature of an amateur. As such, I hope to keep this passion for a lifetime. If only a few of my photographs (out of thousands of thousands) makes a difference, that is my success.

I hope you enjoy my images. If you see something in my photographs that makes you stir, it’s a good thing. If you make photos like me… run, take notes, and chase the light!
